Secretaries NEEDED!!
Noonaroos is urgently looking for Secretaries and co-hosts right now, so we can continue to meet daily, without interruptions!
Specifically, we need someone(s) who can commit to secretarying (The host and person who reads the script/runs the meeting) on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and every other Saturday, and also dedicated co-hosts for most days.
Secretarying is EASY, and we set you up with everything you need to do it smoothly. It’s literally a matter of going to the Zoom room, claiming host (we will give you a code), clicking a couple of settings, asking folks to read the three readings, and reading off the script. If you don’t have a co-host, there is also some pasting things into the chat (provided on the script with easy instructions) and managing the waiting room and bombers, but usually even if there isn’t a dedicated co-host for that day, you can get someone to volunteer, and the link to the co-host manual is right there in the script to give them. Then you log into the group email and do verifications, which is streamlined so it is pretty much click, hit reply, hit send. If you have 60 days of continuous sobriety, can read, and are able to copy and paste items from your device, you qualify!
Co-Hosting is even simpler, and you can do it with only 30 days continuous sobriety. The host makes you co-host, and you admit people as they come in, remove them if they misbehave (AKA Bombers), change unmuting, renaming, and chat settings as needed, if there are multiple bombers, and past things in the chat according to the timeline in the Co-Host Manual.
Those who have been stepping up on the fly, without the Host Codes or script or anything, to make sure there is a meeting, THANK YOU!! And FYI, the meeting script and all the readings and docs can be found on the website, here.
If you are interested, please email aa@noonaroos.org for more information on how to get trained. Additional info about all our service positions can be found at this link, and more detailed information, support, and instructions are provided during on-boarding.
Participate in your recovery, and remember, service keeps us sober!
